Challenge
Golden State Electric, had the skills and the reputation but didn’t have a brand identity, a service list, a pricing structure, and a way to present their work to potential clients other than instagram. Our challenge was to turn a great local reputation into a scalable, recognizable brand without diluting their story.
- A strong word-of-mouth reputation without a scalable way to capture new clients.
- No clear service list, pricing packages, or brand message.
- Needed a platform that could communicate reliability and professionalism without losing their local reputation.

APPROACH
We didn’t just build a website, we studied how people pick an electrician. Most users search through Google or Yelp, relying on five-star reviews and quick contact options. For Golden State Electric, that meant creating a site that didn’t just look good but also answered every client’s unspoken question: “Can I trust them?”
- We defined a clear service focus: residential first, with flexibility for commercial and industrial.
- We mapped out user behavior, finding that 80-90% of potential residential clients search on mobile devices, while commercial and industrial industries search on desktop to delve deeper into company services and qualities.
- Identified the importance of positive reviews on Yelp and Google to validate trust and quality of work.
- Developed service pages that not only outlined offerings but educated potential clients on their value.
- Crafted a clean, mobile-friendly design with quick-action buttons for immediate calls and inquiries.
- Developed pricing packages based on local competition and the founder’s expertise.
- Designed a color palette that felt professional yet approachable, giving the brand a memorable look.
- Implemented local SEO best practices to ensure visibility within Solano County region.

“Wow! This website turned out way better than expected. It looks and is really professional”
– Eddie Gumataotao, Golden State Electric CEO
outcome
Within a week of launch, the site pulled in over 100 organic views without any marketing push. The founders loved how it showcased their work, and users appreciated the clean layout and instant contact options. Golden State Electric’s website wasn’t just a digital business card, it was their grand opening.
But this was just the beginning.
With plans to integrate Google Business and Yelp, Golden State Electric is set to scale its online presence. We also laid the foundation for a future blog strategy, enabling them to become a local expert on electrical services attracting more clients or electricians seeking career opportunities. Golden State Electric went from a trusted well-kept local secret to a visible brand, poised for growth.
